Bloom helmet- A safety precaution for engineers, disaster events

Collapsible Bloom Helmet has been developed by Toyo safety. So what makes this special? Disasters or accidents can happen at any moment. It can be at a work site or it can be a natural disaster and it can happen without a warning. This specially true in countries located along fault lines, which can experience sudden and devastating earthquakes. Countries such as Japan have took precuations for such incidents, but still there is a lot at risk. This is the point where Bloom Helmet from Toyo Safety prove its worth.

The Bloom is a collapsible safety helmet designed to be space-saving, portable late resort for people caught up in an emergency. It folds down to a steamlined shape of storage, bu can be expanded out ot a concave shape in under a minute. This is done by pulling a cord attached to the back of the helmet, which explans the panels until they provide a solide shield against falling debris.

Its comes in a range of colours- lime, orange, white and gray, almost weighs about 1lb (450g). As well as passing official Japanese safety tests, the Bloom also won a G-Mark Good Design Award for 2013. Each Bloom safety helmet costs 4,000 yen (US$40).
